Courtyard and GotYa both sell packs that reveal one real graded card, mostly Pokémon, that you can sell back, list, vault or ship. The main difference: Courtyard is the established choice, a US company with Brink’s vaulting and a long track record, paying out in USDC. GotYa is new and more generous up front, with a free pack, odds on every pack and bank cash-outs, but its operator and its vault carry real warnings.
Which shows you more before you buy?
GotYa. Every GotYa pack page shows value brackets with their chances and an expected value equal to the pack price, based on its own card values. Courtyard’s terms do not disclose per-card odds. GotYa’s FAQ describes a provably fair check, but its terms only say it may use one, and we found no public verifier at either site. Our guide to expected value explains how to read odds like GotYa’s.
Which has the better buyback?
Compare the headline rates in the side-by-side table above. Courtyard prices its offer from Card Ladder sales data and makes it instantly, as a best-effort offer that is limited in duration. GotYa pays its rate on its own fair market value, and its sources disagree on whether the offer expires. Both run a marketplace with no seller fee if the offer looks low. See our buyback rates comparison.
How do cash-outs, vaults and shipping compare?
| Cost or rule | Courtyard | GotYa |
|---|---|---|
| Cash-out | USDC at standard, same-day or instant speed | Bank account in your name, $25 minimum, four to five business days |
| Vault | Brink’s, free and insured | Its own vault, free, with no dedicated insurance per its terms |
| Shipping | FedEx at cost, shown before checkout | At cost, shown before you confirm; ships in 8 to 10 business days after an ID check |
| Marketplace | 0% buyer and seller fees | 0% seller fee; auctions carry a buyer’s premium |
| Welcome offer | Seasonal referral program | Free $10 pack with no deposit, plus a guaranteed-value first pack |
Which has the stronger track record?
Courtyard, clearly. Courtyard, Inc. was founded in 2021, raised a $30M Series A led by Forerunner in July 2025, and has large app store and Trustpilot followings. GotYa’s rip site launched in June 2026. Its operator, VBR GROUP LLP of London, faces a proposal to strike it off the UK register, with a notice filed in September 2026, and GotYa’s terms say wallet money is not kept separate from company funds. The trust signals on each review have the current ratings.
Which should you choose?
- Pick Courtyard if you want a proven operator, insured vaulting and a long track record, and you are fine cashing out in USDC.
- Try GotYa’s free pack if you want to see odds before you buy or cash out to a bank, but keep your balance low and ship cards you want to keep.
Pack opening involves chance at both sites, so set a budget before you start.
