These terms of use (“terms”) apply to your use of the RipsWorld website (the “site”), run by RipsWorld (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. The “Updated” date at the top of this page shows when these terms last changed.
What is RipsWorld?
RipsWorld is an information and comparison site about online card pack-opening sites. We publish rankings, reviews, guides and tools. We do not run any pack-opening site, sell packs or cards, hold balances, or process payments, buyback, withdrawals or shipping. Your dealings with any pack-opening site are between you and that site, under its own terms.
Who can use the site?
The site is intended for adults aged 18 and over in the United States. Some pack-opening sites require you to be 21 or older, and some are not available in every state. It is your responsibility to check that you meet a site’s age and location requirements and that using it is lawful where you live.
Is our content advice?
No. Our content is general information for entertainment and research purposes. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Pack opening involves chance, and nothing on the site is a promise or guarantee of any result, value or profit. Card values change, and past results, including pulls and expected value figures we publish, do not predict future results.
How accurate is our information?
We work to keep facts accurate and show the date each fact was last checked. Pack-opening sites can change their prices, buyback rates, offers, terms and availability at any time, sometimes without notice. Always confirm the current details on the site itself before you sign up or pay. If you find an error, please tell us.
How do rankings, scores and affiliate links work?
Our rankings and scores reflect our editorial opinion, based on the method on our how we rank page. Some links on the site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up or buy through them. Commissions never change a score or ranking. See our affiliate disclosure.
Who controls promo codes and offers?
Welcome offers and promo codes are set and controlled by the pack-opening sites, not by us. They may change, expire or be withdrawn at any time and are subject to the site’s own terms. We are not responsible if an offer is not honored.
How do our tools and demos work?
Our demo rips use simulated values and do not reflect any site’s real odds or pack contents. Our expected value calculator shows the result of the numbers you enter and is for illustration only.
Third-party sites
The site links to pack-opening sites and other third-party websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, services, security or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on that site.
What can’t you do on the site?
You agree not to:
- use the site in a way that breaks any law
- generate fake or automated clicks on our links, or otherwise interfere with our affiliate tracking
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or its admin areas
- overload the site, or crawl it in a way that ignores our robots.txt file
- copy or republish our content at scale without permission
We may block access to the site for anyone who breaks these rules.
Who owns the content?
The text, design, scores, graphics and code on the site belong to RipsWorld or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share our pages for personal, non-commercial use and quote short passages with a link back. Brand names, logos and trademarks of pack-opening sites belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
What happens to what you send us?
If you send us a correction, suggestion or other feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the site without any obligation to you. Please don’t send us confidential information.
Disclaimers
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RipsWorld is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, cards, data or profits, arising from your use of the site or of any third-party site you reach through it. The site is free to use, and our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some states don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold RipsWorld harmless from claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which RipsWorld is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute related to the site will be handled in the state or federal courts of that state, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a part of these terms, we have not waived our right to do so later. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we change the “Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
