Courtyard and MNSTR both sell Pokémon packs that each reveal one PSA, CGC or BGS slab held in a vault. The main difference: Courtyard is the established choice, with a fee-free marketplace, Brink’s vaulting and a bigger range of categories. MNSTR, run by Monster Strategy, shows odds and value bands for every pack, lets you sell back at any time, and adds One Piece, but it pays out only in crypto and is harder to verify as a company.

Which shows you more before you buy?

MNSTR. Each pack page shows five rarity bands with the chance of each, their value ranges and the pack’s current average pull value. Courtyard’s terms do not disclose per-card odds. Neither site has a provably fair check you can run yourself, and both value cards with their own figures: Courtyard with Card Ladder sales data, MNSTR from an undisclosed source.

Which has the better buyback?

Compare the headline rates in the side-by-side table above. Beyond the rate:

  • Courtyard makes its offer instantly, but its terms call it a best-effort offer that is limited in duration.
  • MNSTR lets you sell back at any time, with no time limit. Its rate depends on the pack, from 86% on the cheapest pack upward, and its “up to 95%” pack was not playable when we checked.

Our buyback rates comparison puts both next to the other sites.

What do you pull at each site?

Both reveal one graded slab per pack. Courtyard covers Pokémon and sports cards, plus comics, watches and coins. MNSTR covers Pokémon and One Piece, with sports packs listed as coming soon. MNSTR’s packs start higher, and Courtyard runs the wider price range. See every Pokémon option in our best Pokémon rip sites ranking.

How do fees, cash-outs and shipping compare?

Cost or option Courtyard MNSTR
Vault Brink’s, free, tokenized on Polygon Unnamed insured vault, free, on MegaETH
Marketplace 0% buyer and seller fees On-site marketplace; fee not published
Cash-out USDC at standard, same-day or instant speed USDm stablecoin to a crypto wallet
Shipping FedEx at cost, shown before checkout Flat US fee plus a per-card fee, shown before you pay

Which has the stronger track record?

Courtyard. Courtyard, Inc. was founded in 2021, raised a $30M Series A led by Forerunner in July 2025, and has large app store and Trustpilot followings. MNSTR has been live since about November 2025 and reports about 280,000 pulls, but its terms describe the operator as “Monster Strategy, inc, a New York limited liability company” at a Brooklyn mailbox, and we could not find it in New York’s public corporation records. It has no Trustpilot, app store or BBB profile.

Which should you choose?

  • Pick Courtyard if you want the longer track record, Brink’s vaulting and a fee-free marketplace.
  • Pick MNSTR if you want to see the odds before you pay, sell back with no deadline, or rip One Piece slabs.
  • Either way you cash out in a stablecoin, so plan how you will convert it to dollars.

Pack opening involves chance at both sites, so set a budget before you start.
