BOXED and PullBox are the two sites we rank for Magic: The Gathering, and they work the same way: you buy an in-house currency, open themed boxes that show every card’s odds, and each open gives you one card or item that you sell back for credit or have shipped. Both are provably fair. The main difference: BOXED ships faster and cheaper and lets you withdraw card value as ETH, but it is closed in four states. PullBox is available in every state and gives away more free boxes, but has no cash-out and slower shipping.

Which is better for Magic: The Gathering?

Both carry deep Magic catalogs. Magic was about a third of BOXED’s boxes in late 2024, next to Pokémon and One Piece, and BOXED launched new Magic boxes in September 2026. PullBox is best known among Magic players, and its homepage has shown big Magic pulls such as Mox Diamond and Volcanic Island. See both in our best MTG rip sites ranking.

Which shows more about its odds?

Both show the chance of every item in a box before you open it, and both let you verify the draw afterwards with a provably fair check. BOXED doesn’t publish a headline return, but sites that added up its drop tables found almost every box set to return about 85% of its price. Affiliate testers found returns of about 80% to 88% on most PullBox boxes they checked. Learn how to check a provably fair rip.

How do you get value out?

  • BOXED buys cards back instantly for their full listed value in gems, which can’t be cashed out. You can withdraw item value as ETH after an ID check, phone verification and approval, within daily limits.
  • PullBox buys cards back for their market value in coins, which can’t be withdrawn at all. Cards you leave in your inventory turn into coin vouchers after 30 to 60 days.

Our buyback rates comparison explains why buyback in site credit is not the same as getting your money back.

How do shipping and availability compare?

Cost or rule BOXED PullBox
US shipping 550 gems (about $5.50) per shipment of up to 15 cards Priced in coins by weight and quantity
Speed Two to four weeks in transit Aims to ship within 30 days, plus 15 for sourced cards
Where it ships 22 destinations US and Canada only
Restricted states Michigan, Washington, Louisiana, South Carolina None listed
Payments Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, crypto, CS2 skins Cards, crypto, Cash App Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna, Apple Pay or Google Pay by location

Which has the stronger track record?

BOXED is the bigger company. Loot Labs Inc of Seattle raised a $6M seed round led by BITKRAFT Ventures in 2024 and has a large, mostly positive Trustpilot following, but an F rating at the BBB, and it drew criticism when streamer shroud opened its boxes on a 2025 charity stream. PullBox is run by CCG Labs, LLC from Syracuse, New York, has operated since early 2024, and has mixed reviews centred on shipping times. Its terms date from December 2023. The trust signals on each review have the current ratings.

Which should you choose?

  • Pick BOXED if you want faster, cheaper shipping, a way to withdraw value as ETH, or Pokémon and One Piece alongside Magic, and you are not in one of its four restricted states.
  • Pick PullBox if you live in Michigan, Washington, Louisiana or South Carolina, want the most free daily rewards, and are happy to take value out only as shipped cards.

Pack opening involves chance at both sites, so set a budget before you start.
